Each batch of timber will be assigned to the specific plot of land from which it came. This will ensure that production does not contribute to deforestation. The requirement will cover not only timber, but also products such as coffee, cocoa, soy, beef, palm oil and rubber.   <\/p>\n\n<h2>What are the key requirements for entrepreneurs<\/h2>\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>Due diligence:<\/strong> companies will be required to implement systems to document the origin of wood, assess risks and implement preventive measures.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Statements of compliance:<\/strong> Companies will have to submit declarations confirming that products comply with the EUDR.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Batch registration in TRACES:<\/strong> Each batch of forest products will be reported in the EU system.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Ban on non-compliant products:<\/strong> Non-compliant goods will not be allowed to be marketed or exported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2>How the new regulations will affect the Polish timber industry<\/h2>\n<p>As one of the leading furniture manufacturers in Europe, Poland will face challenges in implementing new regulations. Small companies in particular may face difficulties in complying with the requirements, which will affect their competitiveness. <\/p>\n\n<h2>What challenges lie ahead for transport pallet manufacturers<\/h2>\n<p>Pallet manufacturers will have to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>Maintain transparency in the supply chain by working closely with wood suppliers.<\/li>\n    <li>Implement systems to track the origin of materials.<\/li>\n    <li>Prepare for compliance checks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2>What will be the consequences of non-compliance<\/h2>\n<p>Violations of the regulations can result in severe sanctions, including fines contingent on the decisions of national supervisory authorities. There is also the possibility of confiscation of non-compliant products and exclusion from public procurement. <\/p>\n\n<h2>What's next<\/h2>\n<p>The regulation will take effect on December 30, 2025, and there is a transition period for micro and small businesses in selected aspects of the regulation.
