As the sun turns the skin brown, we tested whether the skin of our palettes is somehow enhanced or worsened by UV radiation.

UV light is the most damaging aspect of sunlight to wood, as it alters and destroys the wood’s lignin – the part of wood that hardens and strengthens its cell walls.

In this way, our pallets fade instead of turning golden tan, but thanks to a special binder this does not affect the tensile and breaking strength of the pallets.
